This two-year graduate programme is designed for fresh university graduates and working professionals. It challenges students to consider a wide spectrum of sustainability issues, with special attention given to their often complex interrelationships. Students learn skills needed to design and implement sustainable development strategies on the household, business, city, regional, and national levels.
Guided by expert faculty, students come to understand that effective implementation of sustainability strategies is a fundamental societal, economic, and environmental need.
Duration: 2 years (4 semesters)

Class Schedule: Weekly schedule to accommodate working professionals and fresh graduates
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Monday: 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Wednesday: 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Admission to the master programme is granted to those individuals who have completed at least the equivalent of a bachelor's or diploma degree with a minimum duration of three years and who can demonstrate aptitude for research and basic knowledge in one or more of the natural or social sciences. Selection will be based upon transcripts of courses taken and grades received at previous universities and other educational organisations.
English Proficiency Test Requirements
All students whose first language is not English must provide proof of their English proficiency level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages through one of the following tests taken within the last two years.

Prof. Dr. Jürgen Walter Simon joins MODUL University Dubai as the Programme Director for Governance & Sustainable Development overseeing the Master of Science in Sustainable Development, Management, and Policy & the Centre for Sustainability through Research & Education (CSRE). He has over 30 years of Research and Consultancy & over 40 years of Academic Experience.
Previously Prof. Jürgen Simon was a guest scholar at the Law University Hanoi in Vietnam, Head of the Institute of Law at the University of Lüneburg, Chair of the European Technology Platform for Nanomedicine and former Head of the innovation and cooperation department at Siemens Healthcare.
He has also held positions at CERN and the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. His research focuses on themes relating to Law and Biotechnology, Environmental Law, Economics and New Information Technologies.
